Dr Anil Khatri is a Consultant Paediatrician with Special interest in Hemoglobinopathies. He has worked extensively on various aspects of Care, Management, Prevention & Support of Thalassemia for over 25 years.
He is a reputed Paediatrician in Ahmedabad successfully running two hospitals since more than 25 years.
- He is the Managing Trustee of Thalassemia Jagruti Foundation, Ahmedabad.
- He has a key role to play as Chairman of Hemoglobinopathgies Committee of Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State branch. He is also a member of Task Force on Blood disorders of Govt. of Gujarat & Govt of India.
- He also brings lot of cheer into the lives of children suffering from life threatening illness, by contributing his mite as Hon. Director, Make A Wish Foundation, Gujarat.
- He is the National Convenor, Seva Prakosht, Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha & Past President of the Ahmedabad branch.
- As joint Secretary & Trustee at Sadhu Vaswani Mission & High School, he has been instrumental in modernization of the school & impacting lives of hundreds by children by raising the standard of education.
- He has held multiple important positions in District 3054 of Rotary International.
- He is a true Social Activist and has been contributing significantly in various spheres.

- Successfully running 2 Hospitals for more than 2 decades and treated thousands of patients along with my wife Dr. Uma Khatri who is a Gynecologist.
- Significant impact in Thalassemia Care, Support & Prevention by :
1. Providing free Consultation to thousands of patients
2. Providing free blood transfusion to about 150 patients since 20 years - Under my Chairmanship of Thalassemia Committee, Red Cross Society has achieved Thalassemia Screening of 32 lakhs youth & 8 lakh pregnant ladies and prevented birth of 555 children suffering from Thalassemia Major.
- Contribution to draft National Policy and National Guidelines published by National Health Mission, Govt. of India.
- Organized number of Conferences and Events for doctors, patients & social organizations.
- Providing cheer in lives of hundreds of children suffering from life threatening illnesses by fulfilling their Wishes through Make A Wish Foundation
- As part of Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha, touched many social, religious & political leaders of the Sindhi Community and hundreds of Sindhi families.
- Contribution to improvement in infrastructure & quality of education in schools
- Regular blood donor having donated about 75 times and also organized more than 100 blood donation camps till date. Was Convenor of ‘ Samvedna’ ( Guiness Book Record holder nation wide Blood donation campaign to pay homage to Shahid BhagatSinh, Sukdev on 23rd
- Key campaigner for providing Sanskar, Swasthya & Sanskruti and thus leading to the all round development of hundreds of children through ‘ Bal Sanskar Shibirs’ in Naroda Assembly area
- For 20 years, actively organized and participated in Free Medical Camps for the poor through Sindhi Professionals Society & Rotary International in Naroda, Kubernagar & Sardarnagar areas.
- CONTRIBUTION DURING COVID : counselled many patients free of cost regarding diagnosis & home based management, distributed about 2 lakhs tablets of iron chelator drugs from transfusion centres of Jeevandeeep Hospital & Red Cross Society , provided oxygen concentrators free to many patients, active role in providing patient attendents at 1200 bedded covid hospital of Govt of Gujarat & Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Centre, mask & kit distribution, food distribution to the poor.
